Eiden Systems Corporation (ESC), a veteran owned contractor headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia, and provider of Information Technology, Intelligence Operations, and S&T services, was awarded an AFWERX Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) contract. ESC is teamed with GhostWolf Industries in Bozeman, Montana to provide the design and evaluation of a patented Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) suite, to significantly enhance intelligence analysis for the US Air Force.

Jonathan Velasquez, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ESC, commented: “We are so pleased to win this award…it is completely in line with our corporate strategy to continue expanding our unique ability to leverage science and technology to empower intelligence solutions and services in alignment with the DNI AIM Initiative.”  ESC brings 38+ years of experience providing tailored analytical, science and technology, IT, and operations solutions for a long list of missions.

AFRL and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research process in an attempt to speed up the experience, broaden the pool of potential applicants and decrease bureaucratic overhead. Beginning in SBIR 18.2, and now in 19.3, the Air Force has begun offering ‘Special’ SBIR topics that are faster, leaner and open to a broader range of innovations.

ESC VP of Intelligence Operations, Benjamin Ledford, and VP of S&T, Dr. Paul Johnston, are excited to lead Phase 1, leveraging ESC’s blend of expertise in Intelligence Analysis, Requirements, AI/ML Technologies, and Tradecraft, to provide a state-of-the-art solution.

“ESC will support the US Air Force with our advanced solutions, leading to more efficient and reliable production,” Velasquez said. “Our deep knowledge and expertise will contribute to improving intelligence analysis, helping the Air Force meet unique analytical mission requirements— now and in the future.”
